A DUI checkpoint has been scheduled at the intersection of Glendale Boulevard and Effie Street in Los Angeles. Los Angeles Police Department has announced that the checkpoint will take place on April 16, 2010 from 8:00 pm to 3:00 am. | Bakersfield Senator sentenced in DUI charge |

Ray Ashburn entered a plea of no contest to the charge of driving under the influence. He was sentenced to two days in county jail and three years of informal probation. Ashburn was pulled over on March 14 leaving a gay bar. As an outspoken anti-gay advocate, Ashburn was highly criticized after the incident and has sense admitted that he is gay.

| Former Rock of Love contestant arrested for DUI |

Megan Hauerman of reality TV fame including being a contestant on Beauty and the Geek, Rock of Love with Bret Michaels, I Love Money and Rock of Love: Charm School was arrested for driving under the influence at around 3:00 am this morning in Miami. She was allegedly driving to the strip club where she works. Police indicate that the former star of 'Megan wants a Millionaire' was weaving and then sped to 75 mph in a 55 mph zone. She blew a .102 at the station.

| Packers tight end suspected of driving under the influence |

Packers tight end, Spencer Havner is suspected of driving under the influence in California. The California Highway Patrol has announced that they are seeking DUI charges against him after the 27-year old crashed his motorcycle. Havner is recovering from a broken scapula associated with the crash, but has denied the allegations. Currently Havner has not been formally charged with a California DUI.

| Miami Heat player charged with DUI |

Dorell Wright, forward for the Miami Heat was charged with a DUI last month. His arrest for drunk driving resulted in a two game suspension. In addition to DUI charges, Wright faced a charge for driving with a suspended license. Since the arrest, nude photos of Wright have surfaced on the internet.

| MADD OC to raise money through walk in Huntington Beach |

On May 8, 2010, MADD OC will host a walk in Huntington Beach to raise money for their program. Deemed the "Walk Like MADD" campaign - their goal is $207,000.00 for this event. Currently, MADD has raised around $83,000. The event is to take place at the Huntington City Beach at the Cross streets of PCH and Beach Boulevard. Opening Ceremonies begin at 8:30 am.

Ronnie brown was arrested Saturday March 20 at around 4:30 am for driving under the influence. He was visiting his parents for their anniversary and later went to a club. After leaving the club he was pulled over for failing to a turn signal. He believes he was profiled for the type of car he was driving and because of his race.
