21 year-old Edgar G. Haro was arrested for suspicion of a Merced County DUI after he collided with a truck on Highway 165.  Haro's passenger suffered major injuries and was taken to the nearby Modesto's Doctors Medical Center early on Friday April 30.  The truck driver did not suffer any injuries.  California Highway Patrol stated that Haro turned left in front of the truck causing the collision at the August Avenue intersection.

Driving under the influence in California is extremely serious.  If you are involved in an accident and arrested for a California DUI you could face felony charges.  A felony DUI could result in state prison time.  Even if only the passenger was injured you can still face felony charges if they have great bodily injury.  If you have been arrested for a California DUI the first call you must make is to a knowledgeable drunk driving defense attorney.  Remember you have only ten calendar days to save your license.  Contact us today.
