  Lindsay Lohan Violates Probation

Actress Lindsay Lohan may be looking at additional jail time for violating her probation while at the Betty Ford clinic in Rancho Mirage.   When a Betty Ford clinic worker tried to get a breathalyzer test form Ms. Lohan on December 12th, KTLA.com states that the actress apparently became “belligerent, pushed her and snatched a phone from her hand, straining her arm”.

The 24 year old actress voluntarily entered the Better Ford rehab center after failing a drug test and has already been to rehab twice as well had multiple jail stays due to a DUI arrest 3 ½ years ago. Riverside County’s Sherriff officials state that Lohan “violated several aspects of her probation, including the battery involving a former staffer at the clinic”. Ms. Lohan is ordered to not violate her probation until Feb. 25th or she will have to face additional mandated jail time.

California Highway Patrol reports increase in DUI arrests over Holiday Weekend
Posted By Thomas V. Wallin

The holiday weekend brought an increase in California DUI arrests according to the CHP.  Across the state from 6:01 pm Christmas Eve to 6 am Sunday there were 16 fatal traffic accidents.  In Los Angeles County alone, the arrests from driving under the influence nearly doubled.  The CHP and other agencies are reported to be gearing up for this weekend, one of the most notorious drinking holidays of the weekend.

Holiday parties provide a great source of entertainment, however they also come during a time when law enforcement agencies have beefed up patrolling for drunk driving.  Citizens are encouraged to report any signs of impaired driving.  Being arrested for a California DUI can be terrifying.  The best thing that you can do is hire a leading California drunk driving defense attorney to assist you with all aspects of your case.
