Santa Cruz Police Departmentannounces Road Closures And Safety Enhancement Zone For Halloween

In order to maintain a safe environment, the Santa Cruz Police Department will be deploying additional law enforcement resources throughout downtown on Halloween.

Due to the anticipated volume of traffic, vehicular access to downtown will be restricted beginning at 10:00 a.m. on October 31. There will be unrestricted pedestrian access to 
the area.

The Santa Cruz Police Department will be engaging in pro-active enforcement of all laws, including public intoxication, public consumption of alcoholic beverages, disturbance violations and driving under the influence.

The downtown area has been deemed a safety enhancement (triple-fine) zone for designated Municipal Code violations.
