Starting today and going through Sunday, there will be multiple DUI Sobriety checkpoints throughout California. These checkpoints are designed to ensure that motorists are not
driving under the influence.
If you find yourself at a checkpoint, the best thing to do is remain calm and relaxed. The officer will be looking for signs of intoxication such as blood shot or blurry eyes, slurred speech and the scent of alcohol coming from the person or the vehicle.
Once these signs are observed, the officer will request that the motorists perform
DUI field sobriety tests and a breathalyzer test to ensure that they are in fact under the influence.
If you are arrested during a CA DUI sobriety checkpoint, contact our
California DUI Defense Lawyers as soon as possible to find out how we can help you!
